On March 12th, 2023, JoAnne and I had the privilege of participating in our grandson’s child dedication along with his mom (our daughter), Madisen, and dad (our Son in love), David.
I recently heard that when parents dream, it sows seeds into our children’s destinies, where the Holy Spirit can then come and plow them to make them abundantly fruitful.
I believe that is true for our children’s children’s children’s…you get what I mean.
Here is our dream (prayer) for our grandson and ‘futures’ (smile). May it encourage you to do so with your children (biological, future, or spiritual).
From here on out, Grandma JoAnne = Nana Jo and Grandpa Fraser = G-Bear.
NANA JO: Gabriel “Messenger of God” -“God is my strength.”
G-BEAR: We pray Salvation over you. Romans 10:9-10
We ask that you know Jesus, the one who gave it all for you to get to heaven and for heaven to be in you.
NANA JO: We pray Joy over you. John 15:11
We declare Joy to be Gabe’s reality and gift to the world. We thank you, Lord, for the joy that already rests upon you, Gabriel. You will be contagious with the Lord’s joy and the Holy Spirit.
We declare that your joy be visible and tangible and increase every day of your life.
G-BEAR: We pray Identity over you. Ephesians 1:17-23
We ask that you will know your rich Identity as a child of the King, loved, adopted, and highly favored.
NANA JO: We pray Hope over you. Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
G-BEAR: We pray His Peace over you. Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
NANA JO: We pray Wisdom over you. Colossians 2:3
We ask for your wisdom and direction for Gabe and that you would bless him with understanding beyond his years.
G-BEAR: We pray for His Protection over you. Psalm 91:11
“He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:1
G-BEAR: We pray Courage over you. Deuteronomy 31:6
We ask that you give Gabe the boldness and courage to face the challenges set before him with the confidence and calmness that can only come from your Holy Spirit.
G-BEAR: We pray Justice and Servanthood over you. Micah 6:8
We ask God to teach you how to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly! I bless you with and declare over you a passionate heart with a great desire to love and serve others.
NANA JO: We declare a prayer of anointing over you.
I declare an amazing prayer life over you – that you and God will dream together and that you, Gabriel, will walk out all the purposes of God for your life – your destiny. You are a world changer, Gabriel
NANA JO: We pray Blessing over you. Numbers 6:24-26
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
We declare and release favor and ever-increasing favor of the Lord over you, Gabriel, that you will grow in favor with both God and man all the days of your life. We thank the Lord that His hand is and will rest upon you in such a unique manner and all people we see and respond to it.
G-BEAR: We pray for Love over you. 1 John 4:7-21
We ask that you remind Gabe daily of how much you love him. We pray he will abide in you and know that we love because you first loved us. We pray that he knows we love him and will always be for him and believe all of God’s goodness and mercy his all the days of his life.

We declare that you are established in love and will grasp of the love of Christ and live in the freedom of that love. WE pray that you will love Jesus more every day.
